“NOTHING takes 5 minutes.”

“Additional work means additional pay.”

“Make up your mind.”

“Tell us what you’d like to convey, not how to convey it.”

“Pay invoices on time.”

“… don’t have anyone else secretly working on the project.”

“Know what you want.”

“We need a contract to protect ourselves…”

I like my job. But that doesn’t I’m immune to frustrating aspects of it. Not that clients lack intelligence, they just forget that dealing with designers has its own etiquette.

The quotes above were taken from the succinct guide: HOW TO BE A GOOD CLIENT(PDF) by Number 17.

Now excuse me while I notify a client that the payment is overdue.

This little test is supposed to measure your Color IQ - or at least test the color accuracy of your screen.

I got 24 the first time (zero being the highest score), and 8 the second time after tilting my laptop screen back and forth to adjust the brightness.

Business Cards & Stationary; because Cards & Invitations is slanted towards personal designs rather than corporate.

In my hurry to update, I seem to have forgotten my manners.

First of all, Arabesque is an amazing book that showcases designs featuring Arabic calligraphy, as well as artwork of Persian and Middle Eastern backgrounds.
Really, I feel drawfed having my work there amongst such brilliant pieces of work. You can get a taste of what to expect from the book’s homepage.
If you spot it on a bookshelf somewhere, I recommend checking it out.

And I just wanted to thank Ben Wittner, for contacting me and offering me this oppurtunity to publish my humble work amongst artists of mammoth talents.

Thank you, Ben!

Having a sabbatical year in Boston.

All this time while I was away I was preparing for it. I wish I could say I dropped everything and flew, but it wasn’t so. It took long planning and laborous preperation but, with God’s aid, I finally made it.
I’m still settling down (the internet took two weeks to install in this place!), and will need to iron a few business related kinks before I’m back in the game.

Also, during my few days layover in London, I finally found a copy of Arabesque, which contains two of my illustrations. I’ve added them to the illustrations section.

I stupidly skipped buying a copy cause I figured I’d find it in most bookstores here. Oh well, I could still order a copy online.
